General information about bee pollen
Many flowering plants develop bee pollen in or on the flower to reproduce. The pollen grains, commonly called pollen, play the male role. They stick to the hind legs of the bees visiting the flower in search of the nectar. As soon as the bee visits the next flower, this pollen pollinates the female parts called the stigma or scar, which have sticky skin. This is how the fertilization takes place.
The bees use it in the basket as food for the bee nursery, because they are rich in protein (about 25%), vitamins, minerals and trace elements. All of these properties benefit the growth of bees as well as human muscle growth. Therefore, pollen has been on the natural diet of humans for over ten centuries, as long as honey.
Due to the lightness of the pollen, they have always been taken on trips as strength and endurance food.
Meanwhile, health-conscious people take our organic bee pollen as a sports food, for recovery and to build up after long illnesses.
