MULUNGU bark powder, for natural relaxation after a long day with light anise flavor.
Traditionally used in South America, Erythrina mulungu has soothing and relaxing properties.
Mulungu originates from Brazil or Peru and is extracted from the bark of Erythrina mulungu. It is a conspicuous, tall tree that produces impressive orange "coral flowers".
Mulungu not only has a soothing effect, but also promotes sleep and is full of natural antioxidants.
Mulungu powder can promote healthy sleep in the evening.
Caution on dosage:
Use only in small doses or nausea and headache may occur.
Origin and Botany
Thanks to a variety of ingestion methods, Mulungu powder is easy to use. Some take it as a tincture (steeped in liquor) others make tea from it.
As a tea:
2 heaping teaspoons to 250 ml of boiling water, cover and steep for 20 minutes, then strain. Once the tea has cooled slightly, it is ready to drink. Mulungu has a slightly anise-like taste and exudes a pleasant, slightly spicy aroma. Due to its relaxing effect, Mulungu is a perfect solution for those who want to unwind after a long day.
Sweeten with erythritol or, even better, probiotic with yacon syrup.
Always prepare fresh!
Preparation as extract
Prepare Mulungu powder in warm water and let it steep for 8 hours, then strain and squeeze. Squeeze out the juice completely with the help of a cloth. Boil this liquid in a pot in a water bath and let it evaporate completely. A kind of resin remains.
