Certified organic cloves powder, completely natural
Carefully grown without chemical spraying, residue-controlled, exquisite top quality.
Our certified organic clove powder is the clove variety Ceylon, so it is genuine Sri Lanka clove powder from the flower buds (no stems) of the clove tree, with their intensive essential oils (15% of the ingredients, especially eugenol) that have beneficial effect in all the cells of your body.
Seasoning with cloves serves your well-being
They are a bit spicy, have an inimitable aroma, give food an exotic touch and render health services close to miracles.
Cloves have an extremely high ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) to neutralize free radicals and render them harmless compared to other plants.
We humans need 5000 ORAC units per day, depending on the stress level we have. The ORAC value of our high-quality clove powder is 290,283 ORAC units per 100 grams. That is, with 1.5 g (about 1 teaspoon) per day of clove powder we already have our daily value. Of course, that's still too much for seasoning, but there's also the genuine Ceylon cinnamon powder, which contains 131,420 ORAC units.
Wherever possible, combine cloves and cinnamon!
Our organic premium cinnamon and clove powders are not only delicious seasonings but also good for your health because they are among the most effective antioxidants and therefore the most effective radical scavengers. No wonder it is especially important to us with dark winters that lack sunshine. Our body knows where it gets the good stuff from and makes us love the taste in hot meals like red cabbage or desserts.
Clove trees grow in the tropics and preferably on islands as they need the marine climate. The better the climate fits them the more essential oils they develop. And the more essential oils the cloves contain the better the quality. The essential oils determine - in addition to the fatty oils, tannins and bitter substances - the smell, the taste and the beneficial effects of cloves.
We do not need much clove powder to benefit health
Every day a knifepoint of cloves powder benefits more than many drugs.
In particular, season the hard-to-digest foods with our premium clove powder, which helps stomach and intestines digest them, e.g. fatty meat and sausage dishes, sauerkraut and red cabbage or fatty fish.
Or you can have a clove tea infusion after your meal as a digestive
Pour 1 mocha spoon of clove powder with 1/2 l of boiling water and let it sit covered for ten minutes. The tea has a soothing and alleviative effect on stomach and intestines, and flatulence is avoided.
Of course, the inimitable aroma of our premium clove powder makes your mulled wine even more delicious, just as with gingerbread, “Spekulatius” (spiced Christmas biscuit) and Indian teas.
Cloves tincture for your medicine chest
If you want to have the effect of cloves in concentrated form in your medicine chest, make a cloves tincture:
In a glass jar, cover a heaped teaspoon of clove powder with 1/4 l schnapps, screw the lid on and shake vigorously. Then store dark and cool for two weeks, shaking every two days.
Then strain through a cloth and fill into brown pipette bottles.
You can also easily make clove oil yourself
Add 1-2 teaspoons of clove powder and 30 ml of high-quality oil, for example, high quality hemp oil in a sterile dry screw top jar, close it tightly, shake and wrap in a woolen cloth (or slip an old winter sock over it) to protect it from light. Shake once a day for 14 days. Then strain through a cloth and fill into brown pipette bottles. Thus you get a strong-acting, stimulating essential oil that should be diluted (with oil or water) to avoid irritant reactions. The applications are wide-ranging:
Add to homemade toothpaste or add a few drops to the gargle water or pat with a cotton swab on sore spots.
Muscles or joints that need a boost to rub and / or massage
Neither mosquitoes nor horse flies like the aroma of the cloves! Rubbing your skin with clove oil repels them
